This class offers a thorough review of the musculature and structures of the lower leg with a demonstration of advanced myofascial release deep tissue techniques and sequences to reduce a variety of pain issues including plantar fasciitis, heel pain, toe pain, and shin splints, as well as pain in the knees, hips and low back related to misaligned ankles and feet. The course will show specific techniques and sequences that can be used with the client in prone, side lying, and supine positions. Each participant will have time for hands-on practice.

Learning Objectives
- Gain an understanding of the anatomy and healthy function of the lower leg and how it relates to the upper leg, pelvis, and back.
- Learn to assess limitations and misalignments in the ankle and foot and surrounding structures that may be contributing to clients’ feelings of discomfort and/or pain.
- Learn to apply myofascial release techniques in multiple positions to help clients improve movement and alignment of the ankles and feet to alleviate related discomfort and/or pain.
