2 Days – 12 NYS & NCBTMB Massage Therapy CEUs

This class offers a thorough review of the musculature and structures connecting to the pelvis including abdominals, the entire hip wheel, pelvic floor muscles, lats, QL, spinae erectors, and others with a demonstration of advanced deep tissue techniques and sequences to rebalance and realign the pelvis. The course will show specific techniques and sequences that can be used with the client in any position to provide relief for low back pain, hip pain, and knee pain. Each participant will have time for hands-on practice.

This video is a brief look at how shifts of the pelvis in each of 3 planes affect the rest of the body, including some myofascial release strategies to correct pelvic tilt that can cause low back pain, hip pain, and even shoulder and neck pain.

The pelvis is the center of the body and balances the upper body on the legs. Restrictions in feet, ankles, knees and hips will cause the pelvis to shift from neutral in one of more of the 3 planes (transverse, coronal, sagittal) and affect the balance and alignment of the torso, shoulders, neck and head.

For a much more in depth look at reading pelvic alignment as well as myofascial release techniques for rebalancing it, join us at our 2 day Myofascial Release Techniques for Pelvic Realignment course.
