Massage Tutorial: Myofascial release for psoas & iliacus (hip flexors)

Psoas massage and Iliacus massage are hugely important techniques for massage therapists to learn. For most modern humans, these are chronically tight and shortened due to long periods sitting at desks, in cars, and on couches at home. Knowing how to help these muscles release is a vital skill for LMTs who want to help their clients’ back, hip, knee, shoulder, and even neck pain.

Unfortunately, many LMTs feel scared to work on these important structures. This video will help make it much easier for you!

*disclaimer: These techniques are meant to be practiced by a fully trained and licensed massage therapist, physical therapist, chiropractor, or other professional trained in anatomy and manual therapy.
