The webinar will cover the following:
- What is orthopedic surgery and what is a typical recovery curve?
- How can medical massage help improve post surgical recovery?
- Guest Client Intake & Outtake
- Guest Client Treatment
- Communicating a Treatment Plan & Giving Homework Alongside PT
We will be livecasting on Wednesday October 23rd @ 6 -9 pm
- On the date of the webinar, we’ll post the link to the webinar in the materials tab of this course page. When you click on that, you’ll see the link to join the webinar. It will open in a new window and take you to the webinar.
- We use a video casting software called Riverside.FM which is easily viewable in any website browser. You’ll need to approve its use of your audio if it asks you to do that. You can also download their app if you are planning to watch on a portable device. We do recommend watching on a desktop with a large screen.
- Once the webinar is complete, a new lesson titled “Lesson – How to Get Your Certificate & Give Feedback” will appear. This will provide instructions on how to get your course certificate and links to provide feedback. Once you read through this page, and decide if you want to leave feedback or not by clicking that link, mark the lesson as complete using the button on the bottom.
- Once all lessons are marked complete, the course will take you back to this page and you’ll see a row appear near the top with a button to download a certificate of completion for your awarded CEUs (approved in New York State and all states/areas that take NCBTMB continuing education credits). This will load in a seperate tab in your browser and you can click Print from the edit menu of your browser to print yourself a copy.
- The webinar video recording will be edited and posted into the course as a lesson within a few days after the event and can be rewatched at any time in the future so that you can practice any of the techniques, review concepts, etc!
- If you can’t attend the live videocast, you can still get credit by watching the video once it is uploaded to the lesson page of the online course.
Troubleshooting
We suggest joining the webinar at least 5 minutes before the start of a webinar to test your browser video player and audio. We have tested our software, cameras, microphones, etc and know that they work on our end using the links provided for attendees on multiple types of computers, browsers, and devices. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues that arise due to your own device setup and/or settings for attendees. If you are having trouble seeing or hearing the video, don’t worry as all webinars are recorded and available for future viewing. In the meantime, check this list for common issues:
- Your speakers are either not on or the volume is too low
- Your default settings for watching video in your browser are set to “silent” for audio in which case you’ll need to click the icon in the video viewing window for audio and set to a reasonable volume for listening
- Your browser or computer/phone/tablet has not been given permission to use microphone or play video
- Your browser security is set to not allow most websites (our livecasting host is Riverside.FM so please make sure your browser security allows this website to be viewed)
