Ben Antar, LMT (he/him) graduated from the Cortiva Institute in 2019 as Valedictorian and is a native New Yorker. With an orthopedically based lens, he uses a combination of Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Active & Passive Stretching, Trigger Point Release, and Swedish Circulation to achieve a rejuvenated functionality for the body. Ben knows the importance of movement as a performer. He therefore approaches therapeutic sessions with a goal of healthy and fluid mobility. He tailors each massage to meet the needs of the individual. This concoction of therapeutic techniques in tandem with the information shared by his clients, has a “harmonic rhythm and balance”. The flow and connection from one part of the body to another deeply influences Ben’s practice. Just like any staged production, piece of artwork, or sport, every aspect is intertwined with the whole, and if something is causing an imbalance it can throw the entire entity off. Ben tunes into this ideology to find the source(s) of imbalance and help restore one back to their grounded center.
In his free time, he loves to play and listen to music (tell him about your favorite artist!), take hikes and explore the Hudson Valley (recommendations?), and enjoy board game nights with friends (inquire here for fun).
