Studio Details

Welcome to our FiDi Studio

Our FiDi studio is where Bodyworks DW began, and it’s still the heart of our practice. Tucked above Broadway and Maiden Lane, the space feels more like a calm apartment than a clinic—somewhere you can step out of Wall Street mode, breathe, and reset before your session.

From here, we serve downtown professionals and local residents from Tribeca, Battery Park City, SoHo, the Seaport, and Lower Manhattan, as well as commuters coming in from Brooklyn Heights, Queens, New Jersey, and beyond. Many clients are willing to travel out of their way because they’ve finally found care that addresses the root of their pain, not just the symptoms.

Every visit starts with a real evaluation and hands-on work tailored to your body—whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, TMJ issues, or the cumulative effects of long days at a desk. This is not a generic spa massage; it’s focused, results-driven bodywork designed to make meaningful change.

Jovaughn was extremely knowledgeable and professional. If you want a massage that actually addresses the issue and rids you of stubborn knots, this is the place. I felt so much less pain afterwards! I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic, skillful massage therapists who have made a massive difference in rehabilitating from multiple injuries. Highly recommend.

I’ve worked with all levels of therapist at this location, and everyone has been excellent. Highly recommend!

Best massage therapy I’ve ever gotten. Helping me deal with Medical issues with my spine, and post-surgical after my knee replacement. Brianna is my massage therapist and I cannot praise her enough.

I was already familiar with medical massage after my previous therapist relocated. I wasn’t looking for a spa massage—I needed someone who could address specific physical issues. I found Bodyworks DW through Instagram and decided to book an appointment with its owner, David.

I’ve seen David at both the Midtown and Financial District locations, and the results have been excellent. He has significantly improved my shoulder range of motion, along with issues in my hips and knees. The work complements my active lifestyle of walking and weight training perfectly.

Both studios are great, and the FiDi location is especially convenient, near the Fulton Street subway station. I’ve also recommended Bodyworks DW to colleagues, several of whom have received treatment from other practitioners there and had positive experiences. I highly recommend Bodyworks DW to anyone looking for effective, targeted bodywork from therapists who know what they’re doing.

I’ve been coming to Bodyworks for several years now after receiving a recommendation from a former coworker when I still worked in the area. Akiko is incredible at evaluating what to focus on during a session and exercises I can do on my own to improve strength and reduce pain. Highly recommend Akiko and Bodyworks overall for pain management!

These guys are amazing! I’ve had a ton of bodywork done during my life but NEVER have I experienced as much relief as I have from only a few sessions with David and his team. They understand human anatomy so well and have been able to skillfully get to the root of every ache and pain I’ve come in with - this includes having a solid understanding of referred pain and how to fix problems in one part of the body (neck) by working on another (feet). I will be coming back on a regular basis (even if only to maintain the effects their work has had) and highly recommend this practice to others.

I was in NYC for a business trip and I had a last minute back injury that really was excruciatingly painful and limiting to my mobility.
Jovaughn fixed it. I walked out from one session standing up straight and with much much less pain than I was when I walked in.
Thank you Jovaughn. 🙏

Shiho is a great masseuse and a wonderful person. I’ve been going to the FIDI location weekly for over ten years. The vibe is fantastic, the people are incredibly friendly and helpful and the massage staff is incredibly talented and knowledgable. It is rare to find a place this good.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have more questions? Get in touch

  • Where are you located and how do I get there?

We’re at 160 Broadway, East Building, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10038—in the heart of the Financial District, near Wall Street, Fulton Center, and the World Trade Center.

When you enter 160 Broadway, let the doorman know you have an appointment with Bodyworks DW, walk past the first set of elevators toward the mirrored wall, then turn left through the double doors and follow the signs for the East Building. Take the elevators on the right to the 6th floor—the doors open directly into our new space.

  • What are your hours?

Both studios are typically open 7 days a week (9:00 am–10:00 pm) with appointments from morning into the evening so you can come before work, on your lunch break, or after hours. Check online booking for the most up‑to‑date availability at each location.
  • Is the studio accessible?

Yes! 160 Broadway is fully accessible.

  • Where do I check in when I arrive?

The elevator opens directly into our FiDi studio. Come a few minutes early, check in at the reception desk, and make yourself comfortable on the couch—help yourself to water while you wait. Restrooms are at the right end of the studio next to the stairwell door. Your therapist will come out to meet you at your appointment time and walk you to the treatment room.
  • What if I’m running late?

We’ll do our best to give you a full session, but your appointment still ends at the scheduled time so we can stay on time for the next client. Even a shorter session can make a difference, but the fee is the same either way.
