Lead Massage Therapist

Andrew Pannullo, LMT

Andrew is a NYS-licensed massage therapist at Bodyworks DW specializing in complex tension patterns, nerve-related symptoms, and chronic pain that hasn’t fully resolved with typical massage.

With over 13 years in practice, Andrew brings a strong movement background—including decades of Aikido, Qi Gong, meditation, and high-intensity strength training—into his clinical work. He’s known for combining thoughtful assessment with adaptable hands-on technique, blending strong, targeted work with subtle precision depending on what your body needs that day.

His approach is collaborative and structured: brief analysis, flexible treatment plan, and clear guidance so results don’t fade between sessions.

  • Treatment planning, not guesswork

Evaluation first—then targeted work and a simple plan so progress compounds between visits.

  • Movement-informed care

Andrew integrates over two decades of Aikido, Qi Gong, meditation, and strength training into his clinical reasoning—helping connect pain patterns to how the body moves and compensates.

  • Strength + subtlety

Expect adaptable pressure and technique. Andrew can work deeply when needed but also uses nuanced, precise techniques to calm irritated tissues and nerve-related tension.

  • Homework that actually helps

With his additional background in training, Andrew is fantastic at giving simple corrective exercises, breathwork, or mobility drills may be suggested to help reinforce treatment gains and prevent recurrence.

  • Best Fit

Is Andrew the right therapist for you?

    A great fit if you:

    • Pain that keeps returning despite “good massages”

    • Tech-neck and upper-quarter tension

    • TMJ and jaw-related symptoms

    • Shoulder and rotator cuff irritation

    • Low back + sciatic patterns

    • Plantar fasciitis or chronic foot strain

    • Clients who appreciate communication and education

Not the best fit if you want:

    • Spa-only relaxation massage with no evaluation or plan

    • Extremely quiet, non-interactive sessions with no feedback

    • Deep pressure for its own sake without pacing or check-ins

What Andrew helps with most often

Tap a condition to learn more—start where it hurts.
You don’t need the perfect label for your pain—start with what you feel. Andrew will evaluate what’s driving it.

    HOW Andrew WORKS

How sessions work—and why results hold

    Listen + assess

Your story + a few practical movement checks to identify what’s driving the pattern.

    Targeted treatment

Andrew blends deep tissue, myofascial, neuromuscular/trigger-point techniques, and movement-informed work based on what your body presents that day.

    Re-check + next steps

We re-test what matters, then you leave with a clear plan and simple reinforcement strategies.

    Time, not styles

You book time (60 or 90 minutes). After evaluation, we choose the right blend—no spa menu.

    Support beyond the table

When helpful, Andrew can align care with your trainer, PT, or home program to keep progress cohesive.

    What shapes Andrew's work

Andrew Pannullo is native to Queens, New York and a graduate of the New York College of Health Professions (2012). His original training included Swedish massage, Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, medical massage, myofascial release, therapeutic deep tissue, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, prenatal massage, and reflexology.

Over the past 13+ years in practice, Andrew has continued expanding his clinical lens. His decades-long Aikido practice, Qi Gong and meditation training, and 12 years as a high-intensity circuit trainer deeply inform how he understands movement, compensation patterns, and resilience. He is currently NASM-certified as a personal trainer and pursuing additional certifications in corrective exercise, nutrition, and mindfulness-based stress reduction teaching.

Andrew is also certified in Complete Decongestive Therapy, including Manual Lymphatic Drainage—particularly useful in post-surgical recovery when appropriate.

Before becoming a massage therapist, Andrew worked with intellectually disabled children, an experience that profoundly shaped his patience, empathy, and communication style. He brings that same attentiveness and humanity into every session.

Outside the studio, you’ll likely find Andrew cooking, cycling, practicing martial arts, strength training, working on his car, spending time in nature, or caring for his father.
