IN-PERSON CLASSROOM CEU • MIDTOWN WEST (NYC)

MFR for the Knee: Assessment, Treatment & Advanced Myofascial Techniques

Knee pain is one of the most common complaints you’ll see—but the knee is rarely the real problem.

Most treatments focus directly on the joint, leading to temporary relief that doesn’t hold.

In this 2-day hands-on course, you’ll learn how to assess knee positioning in context, identify what’s actually driving strain, and apply myofascial release techniques that reduce stress on the joint—so results last beyond a single session.

Early access: Use code TBD for $384 (regularly $480) on the first 4 seats.

THE CLINICAL WHY

The knee doesn’t create the problem—it absorbs it.

The knee sits between the hip and the foot, which means it’s constantly responding to forces coming from both directions.

When those forces aren’t balanced, the knee takes the hit.

This is why so many knee issues—runner’s knee, patellar tracking problems, even chronic discomfort—keep coming back despite local treatment.

If you don’t change how load is moving through the system, the knee keeps compensating.

This course shifts the focus from “working on the knee” to understanding how to reduce stress on it—by changing how the rest of the body is functioning.

You’ll learn how to assess contributing patterns, prioritize treatment more effectively, and create results that actually hold.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Built for therapists who want knee results that actually last—not just temporary relief from local work

Great fit if you want to...

  • Therapists working with recurring knee pain or instability
  • LMTs frustrated by short-term results from local knee work
  • Practitioners wanting to better understand hip–knee–foot relationships
  • Therapists ready to move beyond symptom-based treatment

Not ideal if you…

  • Therapists looking for isolated knee techniques or routines
  • Beginners without a solid anatomy or assessment foundation
  • Passive learners who prefer technique lists without reasoning

IN THE ROOM

Skills you can use the very next workday

  • Work on the structures most therapists avoid—but that often matter most

In this course, you’ll learn how to work with key structures that directly influence knee stress—including the adductors, popliteal region, distal hamstrings, and deeper aspects of the quadriceps and connective tissue around the joint.

These are some of the most influential structures in knee mechanics—but also the ones therapists tend to either avoid or overwork locally without context.

They’re require better assessment, more precise intent, and an understanding of how forces are moving through the hip and foot.

  • Assess knee positioning and tracking

Identify how the joint is moving incorrectly—and why

  • Understand hip–knee–foot relationships

See how load is transferred through the lower body

  • Apply myofascial release with clear intent

Work on key structures that influence knee mechanics

  • Improve movement without overworking the joint

Reduce strain by changing the system around the knee

  • Design more effective treatment sessions

Integrate knee work into full-body treatment strategy

  • A clear plan—so you know exactly what you’re buying
